This week Dan is chatting with the wonderful Annie Chebib, Managing Director of Select Security & Stewarding, on how she’s seen changes that have shaped her involvement in the security and crowd management industry over the last 20 years.
Annie has run Select Security & Stewarding Ltd for far too long to recall (so she says!) and is the secretary of the United Kingdom Crowd Management Association. She works with Government, Agencies, Associations and the Events / Security Industries to effect positive change in the field, from writing guidance to working across a number of the UK and Global Task-forces.

The 212 Podcast kicks off Season 3 and sees Dan chatting with Chris Frantz of Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club fame about his fantastic career and the release of his new book “Remain in Love: Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club, Tina.”
Chris is an American musician and record producer. He is the drummer for both Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club, both of which he co-founded with his wife and Talking Heads bassist Tina Weymouth. In a long and illustrious career, he’s produced the Happy Mondays, Ziggy Marley, and contributed backing vocals and percussion for the Gorillaz debut album.
Ranked No. 12 in the top 50 drummers of all time, in 2002, Frantz was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Talking Heads.

This week, Dan has the distinct honour of talking to siblings, Jack & Lily Wolter of UK’s Penelope Isles about life during COVID, working with Brighton labelmates, Lost Horizons, and playing the SXSW festival.
Penelope Isles hail from Brighton, UK, are signed to Bella Union Records and are in the middle of a sold-out UK tour. Centred around siblings Jack and Lily Wolter, originally from the Isle of Man, and for several years now based in Brighton. Their debut album Until the Tide Creeps In was produced by the band at the Bella Union studios in London and Brighton. They create dynamic blissed-out moments soaked in fuzz-noise waves - their songs fragile yet ferocious. Indie-psych currents and lustrous melodies blend with the siblings' voices.

The international tour, production and artist manager, Chris Taplin, talks to Dan about his experience travelling and working with a roster of notable artists, including Bjork, New Order, Grace Jones, Muse, The Darkness and many others.
Chris talks about working for some of his favourite festivals internationally and how areas of the industry have changed from his days watching small-time punk shows, to managing artists, to producing tours at large stadiums. Dan & Chris dig into the evolvement of touring and how not only COVID but Brexit will affect many EU tours for smaller bands trying to break into the scene.

With over 20 years of experience under her belt in the industry, she discusses her new festival love with Black Deer Festival, celebrating Americana and country, held at Eridge Park in Kent, UK.
Gill takes us back to her earlier days, learning the ropes at Capital Radio to start her own production business – Entertee. Entertee recently celebrated 21 years in the business. Gill continues to be a breath of fresh air in the industry, providing the positivity and determination we all strive for within the industry.
